Terms and Conditions of Use
Last updated: June 2026
1. Introduction
The Byblo platform (hereafter “the Platform”) is operated by Fournier Florence, a French sole proprietorship (micro-entreprise) headquartered at 5 rue Molière, 75001 Paris, France, registered under SIRET number 106 563 992.
Byblo is a marketplace connecting individual or professional sellers with buyers looking to acquire all kinds of objects.
2. Access to the Platform
Browsing listings is free and does not require creating an account. Creating an account is required to publish a listing or contact a seller.
Users must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.
3. Byblo's role
Byblo acts solely as an intermediary between sellers and buyers. Byblo is not the seller of the items offered on the Platform and does not intervene in the contractual relationship between seller and buyer, except for payment management.
Byblo reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any listing that does not comply with these Terms.
4. Publishing a listing
By publishing a listing, the seller agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the item offered
- Be the owner of the item or duly authorized to sell it
- Not offer illegal or counterfeit items, stolen goods, or items subject to legal restrictions
- Comply with applicable law regarding the sale of cultural goods
Each listing is subject to review by the Byblo team before publication.
4bis. Listing lifetime
Any listing published on Byblo remains valid for 6 months from its publication date.
A reminder email is sent to the seller 15 days before the listing expires. The seller can renew the listing for another 6 months in a single click from their dashboard.
If not renewed by then, the listing is automatically removed from the Platform. Byblo cannot be held responsible for the loss of data related to an expired, non-renewed listing.
5. Commission and payment
Byblo charges a commission on the displayed sale price, automatically deducted when payment is made by card through our secure payment provider (Stripe):
- 10% on the portion up to €500
- 5% on the portion above €500
The seller receives the balance (after deducting the commission and Stripe fees) within 7 business days following confirmation of the transaction.
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included.
6. Intellectual property
Photos and text published by sellers remain their property. By publishing them on Byblo, sellers grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to display them on the site.
All elements making up the Platform (logo, design, code) are the exclusive property of Byblo and are protected by copyright.
7. Liability
Byblo acts exclusively as a technical intermediary and cannot be held liable for:
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by sellers
- The authenticity, condition, or actual value of the items offered
- Damage occurring during the transport or delivery of items
- Financial or contractual disputes between buyers and sellers
- The loss, theft, or damage of an item during shipping
Arranging shipping and insuring items is the sole responsibility of the seller and the buyer. Byblo strongly recommends that both parties use a tracked shipping service and take out insurance appropriate to the value of the item.
In the event of a dispute, both parties are invited to contact Byblo via the internal messaging system to seek an amicable resolution.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.
In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, consumers may use a consumer mediation service free of charge in the event of a dispute.
